Plot

Humanity has indulged in love and war for as long as we can remember. There is such a fine line between the two that Francis Edward Smedley famously said, “All’s fair in love and war”. But when you think about the events of war, like the terrorist attack that took the lives of 49 CRPF officials, we are urged to ask, “Where is the fairness here?”, only to find unsatisfactory answers. Watch Black Thursday, a story of Love, Courage and Sacrifice portrayed by a bold mother and her soldier son. The return of a soldier from battle usually calls for celebration among the eagerly anticipating family members. Black Thursday draws our attention to those families who have fought their own battles while the soldiers were away. For them, the soldier’s return is not marked by celebration, but by a melancholy wave of sorrow and remorse. Black Thursday is a soul-stirring tale that points out to the fact that even a child makes many sacrifices because of the horrors of war, leaving the audience with a touch of the last of her remaining innocence. But in the end, the mother’s final stance reflects a sense of well being onto the audience in finding the strength and endurance even in the most fragile moments of life when she sees the light in Divine intervention.
