Theodore Bouloukos

Biography

Theodore Bouloukos spent a number of years working as a professional writer when he began performing in video and stage pieces for various artist friends, eventually pursuing acting full time — on stage, in independent films and through his continued performance work in the art world. His film work has premiered at Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Sarasota, Venice, Rotterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Vienna, Moscow, BAMcinemaFest, Lincoln Center, and the Museum of Modern Art, among numerous international festivals and venues. His performance and portrait collaborations with myriad established visual artists include work in video, film, voice, painting, sculpture, photography, live performance and tableaux vivants, which have been globally exhibited at museums, galleries and art fairs, including the Whitney Museum, the Venice Biennale, Art Basel and Art Basel Miami, Biennale de Lyon, Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Performa, among various others. In addition, he has provided voice-over work to numerous artistic, literary and commercial projects worldwide. He is based in New York.
